Sign Up For Answers In Genesis By Friday

LEESBURG — The Answers in Genesis Bible conference is planned for Sept. 21-23 at Calvary Baptist Church.

The conference will be led by Danny Faulkner, resident astronomer, researcher and speaker for Answers in Genesis. The group focuses on providing answers from the Bible to questions about creation, evolution the age of the earth and other scientific issues.

Chicken And Noodles Dinner Sept. 22

SILVER LAKE — South Pleasant United Methodist women invite the public to their chicken and noodles dinner Sept. 22.

The meal will be from 4 to 7 p.m. or until food runs out at the South Pleasant UM Church. Homemade chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw or apple sauce, a slice of pie and drinks will be served.  

A freewill donation for missions will be accepted.   

The church is on Ind. 15, 3 miles south of Silver Lake.   Any questions, call Lisa Sheehan at 765-985-3568.



Baked Steak Dinner Planned Sept. 21

NORTH MANCHESTER — North ?Manchester United Methodist Church is planning a baked steak dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21.

Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 7-12. Carry-out will be available.

The church is at 306 E. Second St., North Manchester.



Annual Hot Dog Roast, Hayride Saturday

OSWEGO — First Baptist Church of Oswego will have its annual hot dog roast and hayride this weekend.

The festival of fun is planned for 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Rain date is Sept. 22. Everyone is welcome.

The church is at 2985 E. Church St., Oswego.



Hope For Recovery Meeting Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship Center is sponsoring Hope For Recovery at 6 p.m. Saturday.  

The free event will feature addiction recovery stories, and BLIZZ will be in concert. The public is invited.

The church is at 1250 Husky Trail, next to Martin's Super Market.



Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart

A community meal will be offered in the Sacred Heart Church gym from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The meal this month will feature shredded chicken or  beef sandwiches, mac and cheese, fresh veggies, watermelon,  fresh fruit and a variety of desserts. There is no charge for the meal, which is provided and served by Sacred Heart parishioners.   

Everyone is welcome.

A garage sale is planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Warsaw Church of God.

The church is at 1059 Rozella Road, Warsaw.



Yard Sale Sept. 21-22 At Healing House

Healing House Church of God is planning a yard sale later this month.

The sale will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 21 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 22.

The church is at 210 W. Winona Ave., Warsaw.



Men’s Breakfast Saturday In Atwood

ATWOOD — A men’s breakfast is planned for 7 a.m. Saturday at Atwood Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Freewill donations will be accepted. Come for a morning of food and fellowship.

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Church of the Brethren is planning a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m.  Sept. 22.

The meal will include fish, baked beans, applesauce and salads. Pie, cake and other desserts also are included.

Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and younger.

The church is at 7281 E. 600 N., North Webster.



Free Outdoor Movie Night Friday

ATWOOD — Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist  Church will present a free community outdoor movie in their parking lot Friday.

Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with free hot dogs, popcorn, lemonade and more. The movie will begin as soon as it is dark enough; it will be projected onto the west side of the church building. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

The church will be collecting nonperishable food donations  for the Combined  Community  Services  Food Bank.

If the weather is bad, the movie will be shown inside the church.

‘Almighty God, Immense Universe’ Sunday

WINONA LAKE — Winona Lake Free Methodist Church invites the public to a special morning worship service Sunday.

Jim Tague will present “An Almighty God and an Immense Universe.” “We all know that God is all powerful, but sometimes forget just how big and awesome He truly is,” Tague says.

The special service is at 10:30 a.m. The church also has Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and coffee fellowship at 10 a.m.

The church is at 902 College Ave., Winona Lake.
