Fall Block Party Saturday At New Creation

New Creation Fellowship is planning a fall block party from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The community event will feature food, a bounce house, hayrides, games and pumpkin decorating. Prize drawings are also planned.

New Creation is at 315 N. Cedar St., Warsaw.



Trunk-N-Treat Saturday At Pathway Church

Pathway Church wants to invite the community to its annual Trunk-n-Treat from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

There will be a bounce house, refreshments and, of course, candy.

Pathway Church is at 2402 W. Old 30 just east of the CCAC. The community is asked to enter off of Riverwood Ranch Road for their convenience and safety.

Gospel Concert Sunday At Riverview

TIPPECANOE — A gospel concert with the Mark Dubbeld Family of Moneta, Va., is planned for 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Community Church.

The Mark Dubbeld Family consists of Mark and Janene along with their children Elena, Channing and Britton. They have had several Top 40 gospel songs, with one being charted No. 1. They have performed as featured artist on the Main Stage at the National Quartet Convention.

There is no charge for admission, but a love offering for the Dubbelds will be collected.

Holiday Dinner Nov. 2 At Claypool UMC

CLAYPOOL — Claypool United Methodist Church will served a holiday dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2.

Cost for the meal is $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 7 to 12, and free for children 6 and younger.  Carry-out will be available.

Anyone who brings a canned food item will receive 50 cents off the cost of a meal.

All proceeds go to the church and its mission projects.



Study On Book Of Revelation Begins Sunday

SILVER LAKE — The Rev. Duane C. Seitz, pastor of Silver Lake Wesleyan Church, will begin an in-depth study of the book of Revelation at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.  

This study of Revelation is a follow-up of the recent prophecy conference at the church. This Sunday will be an introduction to the study and will examine the characteristics of the book.

Annual Fall Festival Friday In Claypool

CLAYPOOL — First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, 58 W. 700 S., Claypool, will have its annual Fall Festival on Friday.

Trunk Or Treat Wednesday In Syracuse

SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Church of God will have its annual Trunk or Treat for community trick-or-treaters from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Church members will be parked in the church parking lot behind the church and pass out free treats from the trunks of their cars to children as they trick-or-treat throughout the neighborhood on Halloween.

All community children are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The church holds its annual Trunk or Treat to provide a safe place for children to trick-or-treat and to get to know people in the community.

Syracuse Church of God is at 104 E. Washington St.



Chili Supper Saturday At Pierceton UMC

PIERCETON — Pierceton United Methodist Church will have a chili supper with grilled cheese sandwich and dessert  from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.  

All are invited to attend. Donations will be accepted for the mission of the church.  

 Pierceton UMC is a handicap-accessible church with parking in the back.  



All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship Center is having an all-you-can-eat country breakfast Saturday.   

The breakfast will include biscuits with sausage and plain gravy, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, pumpkin pancakes, milk, orange juice and coffee.

Donations will be taken at door.

Port-A-Pit Fundraiser Saturday In Warsaw

A Port-A-Pit fundraiser is planned in Warsaw to raise money for a mission trip to Belize.

The fundraiser will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until sold out Saturday in the JB’s Furniture parking lot, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw

Port-A-Pit chicken and pork chops will be available for $7.25, barbecue ribs for $8.50 and Pit-Tatoes for $4.25. Amish fried pies in a variety of flavors will be $4 each or $3 for $10.

Credit and debit cards will be accepted.



Gospel Sing Friday At Free United Baptist

PIERCETON — A gospel sing is planned for 6 p.m. Friday at Free United Baptist Church.

The sing will feature Auburn and Carol Haddix from Jackson, Ky.

The church also will have a memorial service at 11 a.m. Sunday. A dinner will follow.

Free United Baptist Church is 4 miles south of Pierceton on Ind. 13.

 

Mission Dinner Planned Nov. 4 At New Hope

New Hope Free Will Baptist Church will have a mission dinner Nov. 4.

The meal will begin at noon and go until sold out. It will include a baked potato bar, garden salad and sloppy joes. A freewill offering will be accepted.

Author Heck To Speak At Victory Christian

NORTH MANCHESTER — Speaker and author Peter Heck will bring his humorous and engaging take on current events to Victory Christian Fellowship on Sunday.

Heck has been a public high school teacher since fall 2001 and is a contributing opinion columnist for the Indianapolis Star and The American Thinker. His work also has appeared in The Washington Times, FrontPageMag, OneNewsNow and WorldNetDaily

The service begins at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Victory Christian Fellowship, a nondenominational family church, is at 112 W Main St., North Manchester. Children’s services are available at all meetings.

Revival Meetings Continue At Christian Life

Revival meetings are continuing at Christian Life Apostolic Church.

Jeremy and Jamin Hart are the guest speakers and also sing at the services.

‘Famous’ St. Anne’s Cheeseballs On Sale

The “famous” St. Anne’s Cheeseballs are available for purchase in Warsaw, as well as at upcoming events in Kosciusko County.

Cheeseballs are $5 each and may be purchased at Freedom Express on Argonne Road, Zale Drugs and Sherman & Lin’s, all in Warsaw. St. Anne’s will also sell cheeseballs at the following events:  

Saturday – DePuy Craft Bazaar,  8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nov. 3 – Cure JM event, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nov. 17 – Milford’s Craft Bazaar, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dec. 1 – Wawasee Craft Bazaar, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

Proceeds from cheeseball sales help support St. Anne’s many outreach projects.  

St. Anne’s has worship services at 8 and 10:15 a.m. Sundays.  Everyone is welcome.

NewSong Among Acts At Concert Tonight

Christian artists NewSong and Building 429 are among those performing at a concert tonight at the Tiger Den at Warsaw Community High School.

NewSong, founded in 1981, has eight GMA Dove Award nominations and founded the Winter Jam Tour spectacular.  The group’s most popular song, "The Christmas Shoes," became a No. 1 hit on Christian and mainstream charts and inspired a New York Times bestseller and movie in 2002.  

Building 429 had the song of the year in 2013 with "Where I Belong."

Citizen Way and Caitie Hurst will also perform.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

Ticket options include VIP for $30, which includes early entry, seats in first five rows, a meet-and-greet, and photo with NewsSong, along with a special lanyard.

General admission floor seating is $15, while general admission bleacher seats are $10.
