To the man who claims I'm a critic of the Wayne Township trustee's Democratic candidate and that I'm misinformed, I must ask if you took the time to do your homework. That would be easy because Gary Gerard did that for you in the Oct. 6 edition of the Times-Union in his News Views article.

Wayne Township is in line fiscally and financially with most townships in Kosciusko County as well as many in Indiana. Now I want to ask you, what has the Wayne Township office not done that falls under their jurisdiction? Also, what would your team do with the funds we have in our savings accounts — give them away? Then, when we need a new fire truck or two for the county's most populated township, what would she do for those funds, raise our taxes through the roof to pay for them? I don't think the fact that your team's candidate has possibly voted for a conservative in the past qualifies her or you to handle the budget for our township.

Now, as for the man that would like to know about the yearly $70,000 that has been earmarked for the new south fire station, you are about two years late. That issue was discussed in length during many city hall meetings in front of people from our area like myself that showed a concern at the appropriate time. This was all before it was agreed to by the trustee's office. As for the cut in the future tax rate, that was also decided months ago before anyone knew about  the candidate that was coming to save us from our lack of true leadership.

My point is this, talk is cheap but experience is another thing all together, and Jeanie has that and has shown it time and time again for eight long years.

Folks, vote for Jeanie Stackhouse for Wayne Township trustee. She is not a politician telling you what you want to hear, she is a down-to-earth hard worker that will continue to keep our township solvent and ready to face the uncertain future.
