Trunk Or Treat Wednesday At Clunette UMC
CLUNETTE — Clunette United Methodist Church will host its annual Trunk or Treat from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Kids of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their costumes and collect treats from the trunks and truck beds lining the church parking lot, then hang out with the Soul Searchers Youth Group and enjoy some games and activities.
Clunette UMC is about 4 miles west of Ind. 15 on CR 600N.

Author Heck To Speak At Victory Christian Fellowship
NORTH MANCHESTER — Speaker and author Peter Heck will bring his humorous and engaging take on current events to Victory Christian Fellowship on Oct. 28.
Heck has been a public high school teacher since fall 2001 and is the author of several books. He is a contributing opinion columnist for the Indianapolis Star and The American Thinker.
His work also has appeared in The Washington Times, OneNewsNow, Front
PageMag and WorldNetDaily.
The service begins at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
Victory Christian Fellowship, a nondenominational family church, is at 112 W. Main St., North Manchester. Children’s services are available at all meetings.

Revival Begins Wednesday At Christian Life
Christian Life Apostolic Church invites the public to revival meetings beginning Wednesday.
Jeremy and Jamin Hart will be the guest speakers and will also sing at the services.
Meetings begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Oct. 26 and at 11 a.m. Oct. 28.
The church is at 127 S. Lincoln St., Warsaw.
Good Shepherd Church Becoming Independent Again
WINONA LAKE — The oldest church in Winona Lake will celebrate its return to being an independent church on Sunday.
The Church of the Good Shepherd began in 1903 as the Federated Church of Winona Lake, said Richard Anderson, who was pastor of the church in the 1960s.
Anderson said the church was begun by the same people who started the Chautauqua and Winona Lake Bible Conference. It started as an independent church, but then “got involved with the Presbyterians,” he said.
Sunday marks the church’s first Sunday as an independent church after leaving the Presbyterian denomination.
Tom and Donna Miller will provide special music at the church’s 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.
The church is at 708 College Ave., Winona Lake.
NewSong, Building 429 Among Acts At Oct. 25 Concert
Christian artists NewSong and Building 429 are among those performing at a concert Oct. 25 at the Tiger Den at Warsaw Community High School.
NewSong, founded in 1981, has eight GMA Dove Award nominations and founded the Winter Jam Tour spectacular. The group’s most popular song, "The Christmas Shoes," became a No. 1 hit on Christian and mainstream charts and inspired a New York Times bestseller and movie in 2002.
Building 429 had the song of the year in 2013 with "Where I Belong."
Citizen Way and Caitie Hurst will also perform.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.
Ticket options include VIP for $30, which includes early entry, seats in first five rows, a meet-and-greet, and photo with NewSong, along with a special lanyard.
General admission floor seating is $15, while general admission bleacher seats are $10. These tickets are buy one, get one free until Saturday.

The “famous” St. Anne’s Cheeseballs are available for purchase in Warsaw, as well as at upcoming events in Kosciusko County.
Cheeseballs are $5 each and may be purchased at Freedom Express on Argonne Road, Zale Drugs and Sherman & Lin’s, all in Warsaw. St. Anne’s will also sell cheeseballs at the following events:
Oct. 27 – DePuy Craft Bazaar, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nov. 3 – Cure JM event, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Nov. 17 – Milford’s Craft Bazaar, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dec. 1 – Wawasee Craft Bazaar, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Proceeds from cheeseball sales help support St. Anne’s many outreach projects.

World Missionary Press Open House, Carry-In Saturday
NEW PARIS — World Missionary Press Inc. will have an open house in celebration of 57 years of producing New Testaments, Scripture booklets and other religious materials.
An open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at WMP headquarters, 19168 C.R. 146, New Paris. Equipment will be running; the last tour begins at 3:40 p.m. Tours will begin in the new property with parking near the railroad.
The carry-in dinner celebrating the anniversary is scheduled for Saturday at Maple City Chapel, 2015 Lincolnway (U.S. 33), Goshen.
The evening will feature Bro. Mak, who has been involved in a literature distribution ministry in China for many years. Field flash reports will be given by Steve Bakos and Tom Faunce, long-time distributors of World Missionary Press materials in Latin America and Asia. Special music will feature Matthew Dickerson on the hammered dulcimer.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Special music begins at 5:30, followed by the dinner at 6 p.m. Reservations should be called in to 574-831-2111, ext. 245.
