He was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Dutchtown, to Wilbur and Mabel Roberts Walton.
He retired from the manufactured housing industry and was a farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and belonged to North Webster American Legion Post 253.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Walton, Cromwell; one son, Michael (Tina) Walton, New Paris; one daughter, Lana M. Neal, Franklin, Va.; five grandchildren: Jason, Tony, Brenna, E.J. and Aly; one great-grandson , Jaxon; and one brother, Carrol (Thelma) Walton, Pierceton.
He was preceded by five sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery.
Calling will be two hours prior to the service, from noon until 2 p.m.
