Curtises Together For 50 Years

Michael and Kathy Curtis, Warsaw, will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Friday.

Michael Curtis and the former Kathy Hackworth were married Oct. 5, 1968, in Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood.

The couple spent 40 years in ministry, with 35 of them at the Church of the Nazarene in Rantoul, Ill., before retiring in 2014 and returning to Warsaw.

Kathy works part time as the activities director at the Kosciusko Community Senior Activity Center. Michael continues to serve the Lord in a variety of ways around Warsaw as well as maintaining the homestead and pond, where they both enjoy paddle boating and feeding the turtles.

The Curtises have four children: Angela (Terry) Sowders, Oakfield, Maine; Brian (Dawn Kenney) Curtis, Flower Mound, Texas; Scott (Amy McKenna) Curtis, Charlotte, N.C.; and Tammy (Dale) Morano, Flower Mound.

They have 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
