Trump And Tears

In 2005, Donald Trump said to Tim O'Brien, biographer (Trump?Nation: The Art of Being the Donald), . . . the closest he ever came to shedding tears "was after the deaths of his parents” (his father in 1999 and his mother in 2000).

". . . It's just not my thing. I have nothing against it when someone cries, but when I see a man cry I view it as a weakness. I don't like seeing men cry. I view it as a weakness." He went on to give an example of someone who "went through years of trials . . ." and “. . .sat with a stone face."

That man was John Gotti.

In light of these statements, I am left wondering how "the Donald" feels about the tearful emotion exhibited by Brett Kavanaugh last Thursday.

Also, if Mr. Trump should rescind his nomination of Mr. Kavanaugh, would it be because he sees the man as weak or of being guilty of the accusations of Mrs. Ford?  If he continues to support the judge, does it mean he now accepts the tearful denials of this man and now sees tears as a sign of strength?

"It is not truth that matters, but victory."

"How fortunate for leaders that men do not think."
