This year’s campaign includes two changes.
This year’s drive will be at Martin’s Super Market, 1150 Husky Trail, in Warsaw from 7 to 10 a.m.

In recent years, the toy drive has been held at the Warsaw City Hall parking lot, but this year’s event did not line up with First Friday activities in downtown Warsaw, so organizers moved it to Martin’s, said former longtime Marine Reserve David Morales, who has been coordinating the event since 1991.
Organizers also moved the location where the toys or gathered and organized. In previous years, they used the old city hall on High Street, but switched to the old Ace Hardware store on Center Street, Morales said.
While the WNDU event concludes at 10 a.m., Morales said he, along with volunteers and Marines, will keep collecting donations until 11 a.m.
Toy collection will continue until Dec. 15.
Morales said the deadline for families to sign up is expected to end this week, but organizers will continue to accept more families after that on a case-by-case basis.
Last year, Kosciusko County Toys For Tots served 240 families. In some years, the number has been upward of 350 families.
About 8,500 items were collected last year and distributed to about 2,600 children.
The number of families signed up this year is down, but Morales said he expects to see a spike in interset in the next few days.
He said he thinks the improving economy might part of the reason for the slow start.
Donating to Toys for is pretty simple. They seek any new, unwrapped toys and point out that toys for younger children and older children are often in high demand.
For those who can’t drop off gifts Saturday, there are numerous other drop off locations in Warsaw and across the county.
Warsaw drop off spots include all Dollar General stores; CVS; Walgreens; Menards; Martins; Parkview Hospital; Kmart; Walmart; At&T North; Ryman Auto; Best Deal Auto; Beacon Credit Union; Old National Bank; Family Video; Big R; WRSW Radio and all Shops at The Village of Winona
Elsewhere in Kosciusko County, donations can be dropped off at Tippy Creek Winery; Family Dollar and Dollar General-Syracuse; Dollar General stores in Milford, Leesburg, Pierceton and Mentone; and Mutual Bank in Syracuse
Warsaw is one of four locations that participate in the South Bend station’s promotional effort.
WNDU will also be broadcasting with events from South Bend, Elkhart and St evensville, Mich.
In a related note, Willie 103.5’s annual toy drive will include live remote Monday through Friday at Walmart from 6 to 6 p.m. each day.
