Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) (801 E. 86th Avenue, Merrillville, Indiana 46410) is submitting a Notice of Intent (NOI) to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management of our intent to comply with the requirements of 327 IAC 15-5 in order to discharge storm water from a project construction activity. This planned discharge is associated with the NIPSCO Wawasee Circuit 12-441 / 6989 Rebuild Project located in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Project construction activities will replace existing wooden poles with new wooden poles between the Wawasee Substation (41.382185 N, -85.702180 W), proceeding approximately 6.5 miles to near the intersection of State Route 13 and East Chicago Street in Syracuse, Indiana (41.418761 N, -85.747352 W). The storm water runoff from this project will ultimately discharge into Skinner Ditch and Lake Wawasee and their unnamed tributaries.
