Joe Westendorf and the former Dorothy Bennett were married Oct. 17, 1953, in St. Jude’s, Fort Wayne, by Msgr. Fred Westendorf.
Originally from Fort Wayne, the Westendorfs have lived on Tippecanoe Lake for 49 years.
They are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw.
They have nine children, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
