Gospel Concert Saturday At Riverview

TIPPECANOE – A gospel concert featuring Sherry Anne of Utica, N.Y., is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Community Church

Sherry Anne is a singer, speaker and writer. She was born with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment. Challenged with this and other obstacles early in life, she achieved beauty pageant crowns, athletic awards and academic scholarships, and is a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Her voice blends a passion for southern gospel, country and blues music with her deep faith. She shares her mission as the featured presenter for women’s events and other venues across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. She has been featured at the National Quartet Convention, Dollywood and the Helen Keller Festival. She has appeared on TBN and in television programs and in a film, “Clancy, The Perfect Gift.”

There is no charge for admission to the concert, but a love offering will be collected.

The church is at 3780 Ind. 110, Tippecanoe.                                                          



Thanksgiving Service Nov. 15 At Otterbein

ATWOOD – Otterbein United Methodist Church will have a Thanksgiving service at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15.

The service will be a time of praising God and thanking Him for His blessings. Those who attend will sing songs of gratitude, and the church choir will sing.  

Following a time for sharing joys and concerns, there will be a time of prayer: for each other, the community, the nation and the world, and that those who follow Jesus will share the love He has for everyone, in thankfulness for what He has done for them.    

Everyone is welcome to take part in this community service to prepare for Thanksgiving Day.

Claypool UMC Will Honor Veterans Sunday

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church is planning to honor veterans in its service at 10:20 a.m. Sunday.

Everyone is welcome.

The church is at 105 Church St., Claypool.



Angel Share Christmas Gift Program Nov. 17

The Angel Share program, in its second year at Warsaw Church of God, is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17.

Angel Share allows children ages 3 to 17 to select a Christmas gift for a parent, grandparent, teacher or other adult in their lives for $5 per gift. Children also make a Christmas card for their gift recipients.

Parents can participate in games and giveaways and have a snack while they wait for their child. This year a 33-inch flat-screen TV will be given away. Every family that attends will receive a raffle ticket for the TV.

Proceeds will benefit Grace College commuter students and Haiti Hungry No More, a ministry of the church.

Baked Steak Dinner Planned Nov. 16

NORTH MANCHESTER – A baked steak dinner is planned from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 16 at North Manchester United Methodist Church.

Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults and  $5 for children ages  7-12. Carry-out will be available.

The church is at 306 E. Second St., North Manchester.



Gospel Sing Saturday At Free United Baptist

PIERCETON – A gospel sing is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday at Free United Baptist Church.

The church is 4 miles south of Pierceton on Ind. 13.
