‘Threads Of Valor’ Event Planned Nov. 21 At Senior Activity Center

On Nov. 21, Kosciusko Senior Activity Center will host Liberty Sewing Circles’ eighth Threads Of Valor presentation honoring 13 county veterans at 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. Patriotic music will be provided by Kosciusko Purdue Extension Chorus at 10:30 a.m., followed by American Legion Post 49 of Warsaw presenting the flag.

Guest speakers will include Mayor Joe Thallemer; Ken Locke, of Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association; Richard Maron, Kosciusko County Veterans Affairs officer; David Neff, Kosciusko Senior Services executive director; and Chris Crabtree, representing Congressman Jim Banks’ office.

Quilts will be given by Liberty Sewing Circle.

A free meal will be provided to all in attendance, provided by Mason’s Health Care and American Legion Post 49, starting at noon.

A door prize drawing will be held.

The public is invited, but seating is limited. RSVP by Friday. Contact the Senior Activity Center for more information and to reserve seating at 574-267-2012, or event organizer Kathy Snell at 574-268-8827.
