WINONA LAKE — Marc Goodwin will be installed as the new lead pastor of Christ’s Covenant Church on Sunday.

Goodwin is a native Hoosier, having been born and raised in Indianapolis. He met his wife, Stephanie, while they were in high school, and they were married in 2005 after he finished his undergraduate studies at Taylor University.

After receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Ky., Goodwin served on the staff of a church in Beavercreek, Ohio, for several years. He joined the pastoral staff of Christ's Covenant Church in fall 2010 as the student ministries director. Over the last several years, his responsibilities at CCC have broadened in scope, and in August he was affirmed as the new lead pastor of the congregation.

Though Goodwin says he enjoys various facets of pastoral ministry, he particularly loves preaching and teaching. He says he has a deep desire for God's people to take the gospel of Christ to the nations, but also to future generations in our families and in the Kosciusko County community.

The Goodwins have three children.

Christ’s Covenant Church is at 2090 Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. The worship service begins at 10:15 a.m., Sunday and all are welcome to attend.
