He was a lifetime area resident and the son of Harry and Bertha Snell Lozier. He graduated from Leesburg High School with the class of 1946 and spent his lifetime in the Leesburg area.
On Dec. 10, 1950, Bob was united in marriage to G. Jean Helser. Jean and Bob spent more than 35 years together before her passing on Dec. 13, 1987. To their union, three children were born and many happy memories were made.
Bob was blessed to find love twice and was married to Jane Kistler on Nov. 8, 2003. The pair shared 14 years together before his Friday morning passing.
Bob was a dairy and grain farmer, an honest and hardworking man, and a lover of the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed time fishing in Birchwood, Wis., on Chapman Lake and in Florida, where he and his wife traveled each year. He always enjoyed traveling and, even during the dairy’s busiest years, was sure to make time each year to take his family camping. He enjoyed the quiet times too — tending to his vegetable garden, mowing the yard and reading the novels of Louis L’Amour.
Bob wasn’t just a family man, he was active in his community and held a strong faith in Christ. He was a proud member of Warsaw Elks and Warsaw Moose Lodge. He was the past director and president of Kosciusko County Farm Bureau and director of Associated Milk Producers Inc., where he also served on numerous corporate and regional boards. Bob was the president of Milk Promotion Services of Indiana and a longtime member of North Winona Church of the Brethren.
Those who survive include his wife, Jane Lozier; two sons, Doug (Kathy) Lozier, Carmel; and Chris (Deb) Lozier, Warsaw; a daughter, Sue (Bob) Ludy, Greenwood; five grandchildren: Steffannie (Jim) Fuydal, Lebanon; Laura (Justin) Curtis, Leesburg; Cindy (Brent) Fifer, Warsaw; Tom (Ashley) Lozier, Leesburg; and Samantha Ludy, Lawrence; eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Don (Miné) Lozier, Warsaw; John Lozier, Birchwood, Wis.; and Joe Lozier, Pierceton; a sister, Helen William, Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother-in-law, Carl Hudson, San Jose, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Christine Haney, Warsaw.
Also surviving are stepson, Troy (Christine) Kistler; step-daughter, Janelle (Larry) Jennings; and stepgrandsons: Jordan Jennings, Braxton Jennings, Mason Jennings, Dean Jennings, Dillion Jennings, Austin Long, Taran Kistler, Raiden Kistler and Brantzen Kistler, all of North Webster.
In addition to his first wife, Jean, Bob was preceded in passing by his two brothers, Carl and Dean Lozier; and sister, Retha Hudson.
The family will receive friends for a time of gathering and for viewing from 4 to 8 p.m. today, May 29, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw.
A traditional funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Pastor Michael Smith of North Winona Church of the Brethren will officiate, with burial in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
