Wall Medals; Triton Golfers Rout Tippecanoe Valley

ROCHESTER – The Triton Trojan golf team won 172-240 against Tippecanoe Valley on Thursday.

Triton’s Isaac Wall was the medalist with a 39. Chase Butler finished third with a 42. Brock Watkins fired a 44, Beau Hepler carded a 47 and Keegan Westafer had a 49.

Valley’s Cade Brouyette ended second with a 41. Carter Kistler and Mason Purvis both had a 66. Bryce Madeford shot a 67 and Corey Fincher rounded out the golfers with a 100.

The Trojans compete in the Triton Invitational on Saturday. Both teams compete in the Warsaw Sectional at Rozella Ford Golf Club on June 1.



Leedy Medals; Columbia City Clips Wawasee


COLUMBIA CITY – Wawasee’s Zach Leedy was the medalist as the Warriors lost 175-190 to Columbia City Thursday evening.

Leedy fired a 38 to earn the top spot by three strokes. Dillon Drake carded a 43 and Evan Dippon followed with a 48. 

Hunter Hlutke shot a 61 and Jake Cowan recorded a 71.

The Warriors will compete in the Warsaw Sectional at Rozella Ford Golf Club on June 1.



Manchester Golfers Fall In Senior Night Match

NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester boys golf team lost 163-168 to Peru on Thursday night.

It was senior night at Sycamore Golf Club for the Squires, who finished the season 12-2.

Manchester’s Harley Kruschwitz tied for second overall with a 39, losing by a stroke. Konrad Borgmann shot a 41.

Nathan Self and Klayton Hendrix both carded a 44. Logan Parrett fired a 60 to round out the golfers for the Squires.

Manchester will compete in the Wabash Invitational on Saturday at Honeywell Golf Course. Tee time is 8:30 a.m.



Whitko Beats West Noble

NORTH MANCHESTER – The Whitko boys golf team won 182-203 over West Noble on Thursday.

Whitko’s Cade Bechtold led the team with a 42. Kylar Bryant shot a 46 and both Kaleb Busz and Dale Reiff had a 47. Jonathan Strayer rounded out the golfers with a 49.

The Wildcats compete in the Warsaw Sectional on June 1 at Rozella Ford Golf Club.
