The chase began about 8:40 a.m. when a WPD officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Logan Street in Warsaw, he said. Once the driver saw police, the vehicle increased its speed and the pursuit began.
The chase went down Logan Street, Rozella Road, and ended on a private drive at 650 E. Gault Road, Atwood, when the two suspects abandoned the vehicle. They then fled into a heavily wooded area.
Police set up a perimeter and K-9s were called out to help in the search of the suspects.
No injuries or property damage were reported during the chase, Coble said.
Assisting WPD were the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and Mentone police.
