Burket United Methodist?Rummage Sale May 25-26

BURKET — Burket United Methodist Church is having a rummage sale Friday and Saturday.

Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, customers can fill a bag for $1.

All proceeds go to church mission projects.

The church is at 102 S. Market St., Burket.



All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast Planned Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship Center is having an all-you-can-eat country breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The meal will include gravy and biscuit, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, fried apples, pancakes and syrup, orange juice, milk and coffee. Donations will be taken at the door.

The church is at 1250 Husky Trail next to Martin's Super Market. Information: 574-267-4674.



Beaver Dam Lakeside Service, Summer Schedule Start Sunday

BEAVER DAM — Beaver Dam United Methodist Church will begin its summer worship schedule Sunday.  

Lakeside service at the Beaver Dam boat launch will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m., followed by coffee fellowship at the church from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and the worship service at 9:30.  

All are welcome.



Church Of Jesus Christ Open House, Convocation Planned

The Church of Jesus Christ and Pastor William Lewis invite the public to a convocation and open house at 1505 N. Detroit St., Warsaw.

Services will be at at 7 p.m. Friday and at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Singing, praise, worship and sharing the Word of God are planned.



Real Meal Deal Is June 2 At Mentone United Methodist

MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist is offering a Real Meal Deal lunch special June 2.

For $5, attendees can enjoy a barbecue pulled pork sandwich, celery and carrot sticks, chips, a cookie, and water or soda. Food will be served from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. or until sold out.

Carry-out will be available.

All proceeds will go to the Trunk-N-Treat and Hamburger  Funds.



Boat-In Worship Begins Sunday At Lake Wawasee

SYRACUSE — The 49th year of boat-in worship begins Sunday and will be each Sunday through Sept. 9. Services will be from  8:30 to 9 a.m.

Those who attend have three options:

• Bring a lawn chair and sit on the Oakwood Hotel shore.

• Come by boat to the Oakwood shore and drop anchor around the Lillypad boat.

• Come to the Frog Restaurant and board the Lillypad boat (no charge) at 7:30 a.m.

Minister is the Rev. Pat Park and worship leader is the Rev. Harlan Steffen. Janet Norris will provide music.



Ugandan To Minister At New Beginnings Friday To Sunday

David Mukusa from Uganda, East Africa, will be ministering beginning Friday at New Beginnings Church and World Outreach.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.

The church is at 741 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. For more information, call Pastor Ronnie L. Patrick at 574-527-4299.



Freedom Video Series Begins June 6 In North Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER — A video series on the heritage of liberty in the United States is planned in June at Victory Christian Fellowship.

The videos will feature David Barton of WallBuilders, Rep. Michelle Bachman, Rep. Rick Green, Dr. Carol Swain and author/radio host Glenn Beck as they explore the America the Founding Fathers envisioned.

Questions the series will look at include: What are the foundations of our nation? How did we become so successful as a nation? Why are we losing our freedoms and liberty? How do we restore them?

Sessions are planned for 7 p.m. June 6, 13 and 20. The first session will discuss “The Role of the Bible in our Nation’s Founding” and “The Foundations of Law.”

Wednesdays At The Park Kids Program Begins Next Week

WINONA LAKE – Christ’s Covenant Church is planning a summer children’s program called Wednesdays at the Park.

The program will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on six Wednesdays at various parks in Winona Lake/Warsaw. Each evening will include a Bible story, games and snacks.

Parents who bring their children are invited to stay and chat with other parents.

Program dates are:

May 30 – Winona Lake Limitless Park

June 13 – KiddieLand Park

June 27 – McKinley Park

July 11 – Ker Park

July 25 – McKinley Park

Aug. 8 – Winona Lake Limitless Park

A “Wednesday at the Park” yard sign will designate each program site. Program volunteers will be wearing bright blue T-shirts.
