Warsaw Road Closings Planned Today And Friday

May 17, 2018 at 5:35 p.m.

By Staff Report-

Sewer work and this weekend’s Fat & Skinner Tire Fest will result in road closings today and Friday.

West Center Street between downtown Warsaw and Boggs Industrial Park is currently closed for sewer repairs, according to a statement from the city of Warsaw.

City officials believe the sewer work will continue  until the middle of next week, but is contingent in part on weather conditions.

They are going to allow residents access in that stretch of road over the weekend, but all other traffic needs to find an alternate route.

Late Friday afternoon, West Market Street will be closed as well. The closure is part of the opening night of the Fat & Skinny Tire Festival.

Motorists will need to avoid a segment of Center Street and Market Street from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday.

Businesses located in Boggs Industrial Park are encouraged to use Zimmer Lane and Zimmer Road for access to and from West Lake Street or Winona Avenue during this time.
