Ralph S. Nibert, 79, Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in Peabody Retirement Center, North Manchester.

He was born Jan. 22, 1939, in Parkersburg, W.Va., to Charles Lewis and Rose Anna Aippersbach Nibert. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Kae Scott on Nov. 14, 1981, in Ashland, Ohio.

He was employed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Department as deputy sheriff, attaining the rank of sergeant, and retired in 1989 with 15 years of service. In addition, he was employed by Chore-Time Brock and Kosciusko Community Hospital.

He was a member of Milford First Brethren Church and the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Nibert, Warsaw; and children: Holly (Fred) Wright, Litchfield, Ohio; Karen Williams, Ashland, Ohio; Joshua (Jessica) Nibert, Warsaw; and Nathan (Stacey) Nibert, Milford. Furthermore, brothers Robert (Lois) Nibert, North Canton, Ohio; William Ray Nibert, Youngstown, Ohio; and Harry (Linda) Nibert, Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Stella (Greig) Olson, Portland Ore.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren survive.

Services will be at Milford First Brethren Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, with Pastor Lee Compson officiating. Interment services will be private.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
