Wayne Arthur Sebo, 82, of Warsaw,  passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at 4:05 a.m. in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born in Cedar Valley, Minn., June 17, 1935, to Gerhardt and Eileen Laak Sebo and lived much of his adult life in Warsaw.  

He began his working life as a teaching golf professional in Fairmont, Minn.,  and subsequently Sarasota, Fla.  

Upon moving his family to Warsaw, he began a long career with L.M. Berry, excelling in sales and later in management until 1991. He continued in Yellow Page sales for Consolidated and later New Millennium until he retired from full-time employment in 2001, enjoying winters in Bradenton, Fla., with his beloved wife of 61 years, LaVaine. He was well known for his engaging character.  Although he left golf as a career when he moved to Warsaw, he remained a passionate golfer throughout his life, winning many local tournaments. A PGA member, he was also a former member of Rozella Ford and Stonehenge Golf Courses.

He is survived by his wife, LaVaine Sebo, and their three children: Scott Sebo, Jackson, Mich.; Eric (spouse Kathy) Sebo,  Zionville; and Dr. Michele Finley, Carmel. He was a loving grandfather known as Poppa or Pops. His grandchildren include Sarah Sebo, Shane, Courtney and Drew Sebo and Ben, Ian, Matthew and Nathan Finley. He was the oldest of three siblings.  His sister, Shirley (spouse Don) Brickley live in Denver, Colo., and his brother, David (spouse Janet) Sebo live in Winona, Minn.  

Wayne passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on May 14, 2018.  He will be remembered and missed by his family and the many other people whose lives he warmly touched.

Visitation hours are scheduled from 4-7 p.m., at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw, on Monday, May 21, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. with The Canon Reverend Richard Kallenberg officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
