3rd Part Of Opioid Call To Action Monday

The third part of a series titled “A Community Call To Action” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lakeview Middle School, 848 E. Smith St., Warsaw.

“The Ugly Reality” will feature panelists with first-hand experience dealing with an opioid overdose. Panel members will walk audience members step-by-step through the overdose response process, beginning with the call to 911.

Panelists include Sarah Lancaster of the Kosciusko County Dispatch Center; EMT Tracy Wilson; firefighter, EMT and first responder Shade Keeney; emergency room nurse Cindy Price; R.J. Nathaway of the Warsaw Police Department; County Coroner Tony Ciriello; Andrea Schroeder, the mother of Miriah Schroeder; and the Moellinger family, the parents of a recovering addict.

The moderator will be Denny Wilson, pastor of Warsaw Community Church.

The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session with the panel, and an “action item list” will be provided and reviewed. There will be guides to local resources, services and general information.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department will have prescription drug disposal bins available at the event.

Light refreshments will be served.
