BURKET — Burket United Methodist Church is selling Nelson’s chicken and having a bake sale Friday.
The sale will be from 3 to 7 p.m. at the big egg in Mentone. Cost for chicken is $6 for a half in advance and $7 the day of the sale. Pit-Tatoes and pork chops will also be available.
Proceeds from the sale will go to missions.
Nelson’s Chicken Fundraiser Saturday
God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw will have a Nelson’s Port-A-Pit barbecue Saturday.
The barbecue will be from 9 a.m. until sold out at Owen’s, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Cost is $6.50 for a half, $3.50 for Pit-Tatoes and $6.50 for a pork chop. No ticket is needed.

Saturday Night Singing In Claypool
CLAYPOOL — First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County will have a singing at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The Joyaires will be at the singing Saturday and will sing at the church’s 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday.
Everyone is welcome to both services.

Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart
A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
This month’s meal will feature homemade chili with all the fixin’s, cornbread, tossed salad, fresh fruit and a variety of desserts.
There is no charge, and everyone is welcome.

ATWOOD — Otterbein United Methodist Church will have its monthly men’s breakfast at 7 a.m. Saturday.
Freewill donations will be accepted.

St. Anne’s Wants Items For Annual Tent Sale
St. Anne’s of Warsaw is asking people to clean out their closets and donate unused items for its annual tent sale.
The church will accept "big ticket" items like cars and boats too.

The Singing Auctioneer Dane Bailey is coming to Warsaw First Brethren Church this weekend.
Bailey will be at the church’s 10 a.m. worship service Sunday. A bake sale will follow the morning service.

‘Real Beauty Real Girls’ Begins Sunday
NORTH MANCHESTER — Victory Christian Fellowship Church is planning a series titled “Real Beauty Real Girls.”
RBRG is designed to help girls learn to recognize culture’s narrow beauty ideal and exchange it for one that celebrates their God-given uniqueness. Girls will learn about effective ways to deal with the wounds of negative words, how to challenge popular beauty myths, taking care of their bodies and breaking free from the trap of body hate.
The series is open to all girls ages 10 to 15. There is no charge to attend; all materials will be provided.
Sessions will be May 13 and 27, June 10 and 24, July 8 and 22, and Aug. 12 and 26. Sessions will begin at 10 a.m. at Victory Christian Fellowship, 112 W. Main St.

Jonah Club Fish Fry Planned May 18
NORTH MANCHESTER — North Manchester Congregational Church will host its annual Jonah Club Fish Fry on May 18.
The meal will include fish, slaw, applesauce, bread and drink. Advanced tickets are $8 for adults ($9 at the door) and $5 for children 6-10 (presale and at the door). Children under 5 are free.
Indoor serving lines for all-you-can-eat dining will be open from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Carryout lines will be open from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of the church.
Funds raised through the fish fry and other donations will go to provide shoes for children and the elderly in Uganda through Sole Hope, whose goal is to combat diseases that enter through the feet.

The church is on the corner of Fourth and Walnut streets, North Manchester.
