Warsaw Golf Wins Eight-Team Brownsburg Invite
BROWNSBURG – The Warsaw Tiger golf team won the Brownsburg Invitational on Saturday by shooting a 306, just trimming second-place Brownsburg (307).
The Tigers were led by Chase Byron in the eight-team match. Byron shot a 73. Luke Delp followed with a 76 and Sam Yeager shot a 78. Jacob LaLonde had a 79 and Tommy Meier carded an 83 to round out the golfers for Warsaw.
The Warsaw junior varsity golf team finished third out of 14 teams at the Warsaw JV Invite at Rozella Ford Golf Course.
Zach LaLonde finished second with a 76. Tucker Carlile and Cole Voss both shot a 90. Noah Pequignot fired a 101 and Mason Whitaker had a 114.
The Tiger varsity team competes against Plymouth and Elkhart Memorial on Tuesday at Cristiana Creek Golf Course.
Hepler Medals; Triton Wins Invitational
PLYMOUTH – The Tippecanoe Valley and Triton golf teams competed in the LaVille Invitational on Saturday.
Triton won with a 316 and Valley shot a 413 to end seventh.
Beau Hepler was the medalist with a 75 and led the Trojans. Chase Butler followed with a 78 and Keegan Westafer had an 81. Isaac Wall fired an 82 and Brock Watkins carded a 90.
Valley’s Cade Brouyette finished second with a 76. Carter Kister shot a 109 and Bryce Madeford had a 111. Corey Fincher (117) and Mason Pervis (123) rounded out the golfers for the Vikings.
Valley competes at Whitko tonight and Triton returns to action on Friday.
Manchester’s Kruschwitz Medals In 10-Team Invite
WABASH – At the Northfield Cole Memorial Golf Invitational on Saturday, Manchester finished fourth and Whitko ended eighth in the 10-team match. Mississinewa won with a 322.
The Squires shot a 356 and were led by the invite medalist, Harley Kruschwitz, who fired a 72 and won by three strokes.
Nathan Self shot a 91 to finish second on the team and Konrad Borgmann carded a 94. Klayton Hendrix shot a 99 and Logan Parrett rounded out the golfers with a 101.
Whitko carded a 378 as team and was led by Kylar Bryant (91). Cade Bechtold shot a 93 and Dale Reiff had a 96. Jonathan Strayer followed with a 98 and Kaleb Busz rounded out the Wildcat golfers with a 100.
The Wildcats host Tippecanoe Valley tonight. Manchester is back in action on Wednesday as it hosts Southwood and Rochester.
Wawasee Baseball Falls To Fort Wayne Concordia
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee baseball team lost 12-6 to Fort Wayne Concordia on Saturday.
Kameron Salazar led the team with three hits and had one RBI. Parker Young had a triple and two RBIs for the Warriors. Jeremiah Bess had a double and one RBI.
The Warriors play at NorthWood tonight for a Northern Lakes Conference showdown. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.

Squire Baseball Loses Twice In Doubleheader
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester Squire baseball team lost 13-2 and 2-0 to DeKalb on Saturday in a doubleheader.
In the first game, Jeremiah Airgood had two doubles for the Squires. Kaleb Fluke had a double and an RBI. Hayes Sturtsman and Trey McNall each had a base hit.
In the second game, Kaleb Fluke and Mason Meyer both tallied a hit. Mason Roberts pitched seven innings and allowed two runs on three hits.
Manchester hosts Northfield tonight for a Three Rivers Conference contest at 5 p.m.

BUTLER – The Wawasee softball team lost 4-3 in eight innings to Eastside on Saturday.
Wawasee scored a run in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 3-3, after scoring two runs in the sixth.
Wawasee’s Kiaundra Olson pitched 7-1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs and struck out seven.
Maddison Mottern and Faith Swihart both had two hits for the Lady Warriors. Swihart had one RBI and Amanda Jenkins added a base hit and an RBI.
Wawasee returns to action tonight at home against NorthWood.

Lady Warriors Compete In Goshen Relays
GOSHEN – The Wawasee girls track and field team finished in fifth place in Class A at the Goshen Relays on Saturday. Penn won the class with a score of 92 points.
Wawasee’s Sara Pritchard won the discus throw with a distance of 100 feet, 2 inches. She finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 32 feet, 6 inches.
Hannah-Marie Lamle and Jada Parazygot finished second and third, respectively, in the long jump event. Parazygot tied for fourth place in the pole vault. Katie Haines tied for fourth in the high jump.
The 1600-meter sprint medley team of Faith Tipping, McKenzie Smith, Bailey Mayhew and Haines finished second in the event. The Lady Warriors clocked a time of 4:22.45.
The quartet of Emma Ebright, Ella Beezley, Mayhew and Smith had a third-place finish in the distance medley relay.
Wawasee competes in the Northern Lakes Conference Championships on Tuesday at Goshen.

ANGOLA – The Whitko girls tennis team finished eighth in the Tony Wright Memorial Invitational at Angola on Saturday.
Jackie Werstler placed fourth at No. 1 singles for the Lady Wildcats. She won 6-1, 6-2 against Fremont, before falling to Norwell and Blackhawk Christian.
Whitko plays at Fort Wayne Wayne on Wednesday.

The Warsaw Lady Tiger junior varsity tennis team finished second on Saturday in the Northern Lakes Conference junior varsity invitational held at Warsaw.
Wawasee finished in sixth place. Sailor Davis-York finished second at No. 2 singles to lead the Lady Warriors
Kaitlin Graber ended in sixth at No. 1 singles. The duo of Valerie Haessig and Brittney Jackson finished sixth at No. 1 doubles.
Anna Grill finished first at No. 3 singles for the Lady Tigers.
