Thanks to the efforts of many sponsor corporations, table captains, volunteers and attendees, the Second Annual Angels of Hope luncheon, held in April, raised nearly $30,000 to support Beaman Home’s mission of providing shelter, education and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. At the end of the event, Beaman Home Executive Director Tracie Hodson shared the programs and needs for ongoing funding, and invited all to participate in the Lisa Bowdler Angel Society. The fund will create an ongoing financial stream with 90 percent of the gifts be used immediately to support the mission, while the other 10 percent will establish a rainy-day fund for future projects. The goal is to acquire 100 monthly supporters, and 35 enrolled during the event. People interested in becoming part of the Lisa Bowdler Angel Society can visit www.TheBeamanHome.com.
