The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 11:07 a.m. Thursday - Darren Jay Heinzman, 36, of 4409 E. CR 100S, Pierceton, arrested for neglect of a dependent - cruelly confined. Bond: $10,250.

• 1:11 p.m. Thursday - Michael Darren Miller, 21, of 11314 N. East Wawasee Drive, Syracuse, arrested for dealing meth. Bond: $5,250.

• 2:34 p.m. Thursday - Brian D. Eakright, 33, of 12 W. Skyline Drive, North Manchester, arrested for domestic battery with moderate bodily injury. Bond: $5,750.



Property Damage Accidents

• 3:37 a.m. Wednesday - East CR 525N, 500 feet north of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Dylan M. White, 24, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department investigated.

• 4:35 p.m. Wednesday - U.S. 30, 450 feet west of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Three-vehicle collision. Drivers: Matthew S. Decker, 33, Dalton, Wis.; Jennifer R. Decker, 31, Dalton, Wis.;  George A. Bullock, 81, EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 8:18 p.m. Wednesday - East Pope Street, 80 feet west of South McClellan Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Altuzar Vazquez, 27, Wabash; Jeremy M. Morris, 39, Columbia City. Vazquez was cited for driving without a valid driver's license. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. WPD.

• 6:29 a.m. Thursday - Intersection of South CR 550W and West CR 200S, Warsaw. Pickup hit deer. Driver: Jeremy R. Shambaugh, 36, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. KCSD.

• 10:52 a.m. Thursday - 1019 E. Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Ray Plummer, property owner of 1019 E. Mariners Drive, Warsaw, reported a vehicle had hit a large rock and pushed the rock through the yard, causing damage, but the vehicle, registered to Brandon Conley, West CR 550S, Claypool, was left at the scene. The vehicle was towed. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. WPD.

• 4:33 a.m. Wednesday - A woman reported shots fired in the 3000 block of North CR 100E, Warsaw. KCSD.

• 7:24 p.m. Wednesday - A battery complaint was reported in the 100 block of EMS T16 Lane, Leesburg. One man was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail. KCSD.

• 7:32 a.m. Thursday - A man reported windows shot out with a BB gun in the 3300 block of West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Damage: $500. KCSD.

• 2:14 p.m. Thursday - Criminal mischief was reported in the 1500 block of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Damage: $500. KCSD.

• 2:26 p.m. Thursday - Criminal mischief involving a yard was reported in the 3400 block of South CR 400E, Pierceton. Damage: $5,000. KCSD.

• 3:08 p.m. Thursday - A student was reported using a vape device in the 5000 block of South CR 700W, Burket. KCSD.

• 4:53 p.m. Thursday - Criminal mischief involving a yard was reported in the 800 block of North Parks Schram Road, Warsaw. Damage: $250. KCSD.

• 5:02 p.m. Thursday - A violation of a protective order was reported in the 2000 block of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 11:30 p.m. Thursday - A man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated in the 900 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. WPD.

• 4:48 a.m. today - An auto theft was reported in the 9800 block of East Chickadee Drive, Cromwell. Loss: $8,000. KCSD.
