AKRON — Connie Joann Ramsey Rutherford, 53, Rochester, formerly of Akron, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, surrounded by her family after many years of struggle with multiple sclerosis.

She was born May 13, 1964, in Rochester, to James and Connie Jo Singpiel Ramsey.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Arter’s Drug Store, Akron.  

She was a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time visiting with many people.  

Survivors include a daughter, Bobbi Rutherford, Akron; four grandchildren: Jordyn, Xander, Olivia and Bentleigh; sisters: Ardella (husband Charlie) Slavens, Chalmers; Carolyn (husband Gary Sr.) Gray, Rochester; and Katie Campbell, Akron; brothers: Don (wife Beth) Ramsey, Rochester; Bill (wife Sherri) Ramsey, Akron; and Jim (wife Dawn) Ramsey, Bronson, Mich.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Melissa; and brothers Tom and Raymond Ramsey.

By her request, no services are planned.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
