NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF HEARING

TO REESTABLISH THE WARSAW-WAYNE FIRE TERRITORY EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND

    Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Wayne Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana that the Wayne Township Advisory Board will consider at its office located at 553 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, IN at 4:00 o'clock p.m. on April 3, 2018, the reestablishment of the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Equipment Replacement Fund for all uses as set out in IC 36-8-19-8.5.

    The tax will be levied on all taxable real and personal property within the taxing district and will not exceed $.0333 per $100 of assed valuation. The proposed fund will be levied beginning with taxes due and payable in the year 2019. Taxpayers appearing at such hearing shall have the right to be heard thereon. The proposal for reestablishing the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Equipment Replacement Fund is subject to approval by the Department of Local Government Finance.

    Within 30 days after the date of the adoption of the Equipment Replacement Fund by the Common Council the Times-Union will publish a Notice of Adoption. Upon publication of the Notice of Adoption, 10 or more taxpayers in the taxing district may file a petition with the County Auditor not later than noon 30 days after the publication of the Notice of Adoption setting forth their objections to the proposed fund.

    Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City of Warsaw, should contact the Building and Plan office, 102 S. Buffalo Street, 574-372-9550, as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
