County Jail Bookings

The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 11 a.m. Tuesday – James Robert Seitz, 32, of 8013 East CR 250S, Pierceton, arrested for a parole violation. No bond set.

• 2:29 p.m. Tuesday – Amber Lashae Doty, 26, homeless, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.

• 4:59 p.m. Tuesday – Keith Alan Yoder, 25, of 26535 CR 54, Nappanee, arrested for possession of marijuana. Bond: $600.

• 6:10 p.m. – Johnny Gomez, 51, of 3762 West Old 30, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.

• 6:49 p.m. Tuesday – Dustin Curtis William Wright, 27, of 302 N. Harrison St., Syracuse, arrested on four counts of misdemeanor failure to appear and one felony count of failure to appear. Bond: $6,603.

• 7:30 p.m. Tuesday – Timothy Martin Weber, 49, Ligonier, arrested for battery. Bond: $600.



Personal Injury Accident

• 9 a.m. Tuesday – South Packerton Road, north of East Ind. 14, near Sidney. Driver slid off road, hit a post. Driver: Lindsey S. Ohara, 22, East CR 1000S, Claypool. Injury: Ohara complained of pain to a hand, was checked by a medic. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.



Property Damage Accidents

• 6:20 a.m. Monday – South Main Street, south of West CR 300N, near Etna Green. Vehicle slid off road. Driver: Tom A. Long, 51, of 17th Road, Bourbon. Damage: $750-$1,000. KCSD.

• 7:27 a.m. Tuesday – West CR 750W, north of West CR 650N, near Etna Green. Car slid off road, hit post. Driver: Caleb J. Kaufman, 18, North  CR 750W, Etna Green. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSD.

• 7:30 a.m. Tuesday – South Ind. 15, south of West CR 900S. Car swerved to avoid vehicle, slid and hit a post. Driver: Thomas C. Hall, 32, East Second St., North Manchester. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

 8:02 a.m. Tuesday – South Ind. 19, west of West CR 800S, near Mentone. Five drivers, all headed south, were part of a chain-reaction accident. Drivers: Phillip R. Waddle, 18, North CR 650W, Warsaw; Elija W. Holder, 17, West Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw; Madison M. Francis,17, East CR 700N, Rochester; Kaitlin R. Shepherd, 17, West Ind. 25, Mentone; Payton M. Fincher, East CR 700N, Rochester. Damage: $25,000-$50,000. KCSD.

• 5:54 p.m. Tuesday – South Columbia Street, north of West Smith Street, Warsaw. Vehicle struck parked vehicle. Driver: Earl E. Fields, 63, West Smith Street, Warsaw. Parked vehicle registered to Stephanie C. Essick, South Columbia Street, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.



Incidents

• 7:22 a.m. Monday – Theft of fuel was reported at the Marathon gas station on East U.S. 30, Warsaw. Value: $20. KCSD.

• 2:18 p.m. Monday – Fraud was reported in the 400 block of South Dixie Drive, North Webster. North Webster Police Department investigated.

• 3:01 p.m. Tuesday – Criminal mischief involving a car was reported in the 2100 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. WPD.
