He was born in Felbach, Germany, to Julius and Emily Blessing. His wife, Edith, survives.
He retired as manufacturing director for Zimmer Inc., Warsaw.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Charlotte, N.C. The family will receive friends following the service.
An interment service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday at Concordia Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne. A reception will follow at Don Hall’s Guesthouse.
