Last Monday Euchre Club

The Last Monday Euchre Club met Feb. 26 at the Warsaw Senior Center.  

High winner was Mary Grubbs, most lones was Thelma Beery, and low was Bonnie Jagodzinki and Toni Wilson.  

The next meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. March 26 at the Warsaw Senior Center.



Frances Slocum Chapter INDAR

WABASH — Wabash County Frances Slocum Chapter  INDAR will meet at 7 p.m. March 13 at the Grandstaff Hentgen Activity Room, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash.  

Speaker Angie Briner will present the 3B exercise class with a chair.  The three Bs stands for brains, body and belief.  Prospective members and guests are welcome to attend.

DAR membership is open to any woman 18 and older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Those with questions may contact www.dar.org, Linda Thompson at 260-563-4661 or Barbara Amiss at 260-982-4376.



Singles Meeting Friends

Singles Meeting Friends is invited to Family Game Night at St. Francis Xavier Church in Pierceton at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The main game will be euchre, but other games will be played as well. Members are asked to bring a snack to share and their own water or soda to drink.

The group is having its own game night March 9 at the deli at Martin’s Super Market. Game night is the second Friday of every month.



North Webster Community Center SPEC

The bridge results for Feb. 27 at the Senior Prime Enrichment Center were first,  Jean Cowan, and second, Mike Wyrick.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

WINONA LAKE — The group gathered Feb. 28 at Grace Village, with Sharon Holtz as hostess.

Winners were Pauline Holderman, Beth Huffer, Elaine Grill and Sondra Dicken.



Agnes Pruyn Chapman Chapter DAR

Agnes Pruyn Chapman chapter DAR met Feb. 27 at Richards Restaurant with six members and three guests present.

Following lunch, Vice Regent Paulene Holderman  introduced  speaker Andy McCleary of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce. He spoke on the founding of the Chamber in Warsaw and its membership. He explained the importance  of having a Chamber of Commerce, citing various activities it is involved in. Questions from the audience opened discussions on needs and concerns in the city. His presentation  was well received.

The Warsaw chapter has been invited to attend a meeting March 10 with the Columbia City chapter. Lois Huntington, state regent, will be the speaker.

The next regular meeting will be at noon March 27 at Richards.

Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution is open to any woman who has an ancestor who fought in or aided the patriot cause during the American Revolution. Contact Kathy Gawthrop at 260-982-7055 for more information.



Warsaw Friends Of The Library

Friends of the Warsaw Community Public Library meetings are held at 1 p.m. the first Monday of the month in meeting room A/B at the library.

The next meeting will be Monday.

All of those interested in helping to support the library are encouraged to join. Members not only help financially with their yearly dues, but also volunteer to help with FOL fundraising projects and assist at library events for adults and children.

If you are interested in making new friends and socializing while becoming involved with the library, plan on attending a monthly meeting.



Wednesday Night Bridge Group

The group had five tables Feb. 28, with the following winners: Bob Mayer, Joan Kizer, Rosalee Spear, Jack Horney, John Wagley and Jim Levandis.

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for March.  The next meeting is March 7.

Grace Bridge met March 1 with Sharon Tuttle as hostess.

Winners were Betty Walston and Bob Mayer.
