One-Time Events Highlight The Week

“Where Does Your Money Go?” is a resource guide presented by Jackie Franks of Purdue Extension and offers a plan to track expenses, identify spending leaks, write goals and more.
The children’s department wants families to come build forts from 5 to 7 p.m. March 9. Bring your pillows, sheets and blankets and use our chairs and tables. The evening includes stories, and refreshments and after the library closes at 6 p.m. there will be a treasure hunt. Everyone coming to fort night needs to be in the building before 6 p.m.
The library offers a series of spring-time crafts that are free, but need preregistration to plan for supplies. March 8 is the bunny picture stencil craft that is in time for Easter. Coming up is a butterfly wreath and Mother’s Day picture.
Those who have been invited to attend the Chamber’s business-after-hours will get a preview of the summer reading programs for children and teens, and get a look at “One State/ One Story: Frankenstein events that are coming to the Syracuse Library.
Story times continue through March and April, meeting at 10:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. And on Thursdays, children have games and snacks for an end of week, after school activity at 4 p.m.
WorkOne is partnering with Lippert Components on Wednesday. Smoker Craft comes on March 14.
WorkOne is at the Syracuse Library from 1 to 3:30 p.m every Wednesday and brings hiring managers for easy access for local people.
Chair yoga is following the usual winter schedule of 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Syracuse Library.
Walk with the Trails at 9:30 a.m. on Thursdays at the Community Center. Watch for changes in April’s scheduling.
String Theory, fiber crafting group meets at 5 p.m. Thursdays in the adult department. The last session is March 29 , which is the second Thursday after the official start of spring that is on the vernal equinox.
