Youth Help With ‘Souper Bowl Of Caring’

The Warsaw Missionary Church Youth Group, also known as Warsaw Renovation, recently donated two shopping carts full of nonperishable foods to Combined Community Services.

This was a part of a national effort called “Souper Bowl of Caring” focused around Super Bowl Sunday. This effort began in 1990 when a pastor prayed: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat.”

The shopping carts, borrowed from Martin’s Super Market, were filled with nonperishable food and toiletries with the help of Warsaw Missionary Church’s congregation.

Groups interested in being a part of “Souper Bowl of Caring” can learn more and sign up at www.souperbowl.org.
