Becknell Guest Musician At UMC Lakeside

LEESBURG — Luke Becknell will be the guest musician at Leesburg United Methodist Church’s lakeside service this weekend.

Becknell and his wife, Michelle, are members of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and reside on Big Barbee Lake. He is a stylist at Today’s Headlines, Warsaw.

The service begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Patona Bay on Tippecanoe Lake. Guests may come by boat, kayak or canoe and anchor in front of Patona Bay. Those who join the group on land should bring a chair. If it rains, the service will be moved to the boathouse.

Leesburg UMC also has a service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at its building in Leesburg.



Craguns Quartet To Sing At Riverview

TIPPECANOE — The Craguns will give a gospel concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Community Church.

The family got started in gospel music in Idaho, when Jordan Cragun toured with the Boised-based Liberty Quartet. The quartet is “committed to effectively ministering the gospel through song.”

There is no charge to attend the concert, but a love offering will be collected for the Craguns.

The church is at 3780 Ind. 110, Tippecanoe.



Souls Harbor At Dutchtown On Saturday

The Souls Harbor trio from Milan, Mich., will present a concert at the Dutchtown Brethren Church at 7 p.m. Saturday.  

This southern gospel vocal group will be featured at Dollywood’s Harvest Fest in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., in October.  

No tickets are required for Saturday’s concert.  A freewill offering will be accepted.  Everyone is welcome.

The church is at CR 300N and CR 400 E, a half mile east of Chapman Lake.

Service, Free Food At Richards Park Saturday

Evangelist Justine Megething Slone from Community Care Ministry will lead a service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Richards Park.

Slone is “reaching out to the community as she hears the call of God to see the needs met, the sick healed and the lost saved.”

Food to feed the hungry will be available following the service.

The park is on East Market Street near the Dollar General Store.



Community Meal Tuesday At Sacred Heart

A community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The meal this month will feature homemade lasagna, garden salad, French bread, applesauce, fresh fruit and a variety of desserts.

There is no charge for the meal. Everyone is welcome.    

This month’s dinner is provided and served by Sacred Heart youth group and parishioners.

Tenderloin Supper June 22 In N. Webster

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Church of the Brethren is planning a tenderloin supper from 4 to 7 p.m. June 22.

Donations will be accepted for the meal.

The church is at 7281 E. 600 N., North Webster.
