The Rescue Performing At Lakeside Service

LEESBURG — The Rescue featuring Randy Hood will be the guest musician at Leesburg United Methodist Church’s lakeside service this weekend.

Hood, formerly of the Randy-Britt Band, is a longtime guest of the church’s lakeside service. The Rescue was born from the “fire” Pastor Donovan Coley saw in Hood when he preached at the Rescue Mission. Through their talks, Hood decided to take testimonies, praise and worship into the community to benefit the mission and to glorify Jesus.

The service begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Patona Bay on Tippecanoe Lake. Guests may come by boat, kayak or canoe and anchor in front of Patona Bay. Those who join the group on land should bring a chair. If it rains, the service will move to the boathouse.

Leesburg UMC also has a service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at its building in Leesburg.
