With the size of our school system, I'm truly baffled as to why we see some school board member elections going uncontested.  Two or more candidates running for a position allows voters an opportunity to examine the plans, intent and attitudes of prospective board members.

I encourage individuals who reside in the districts where elections will take place to give prayerful consideration of becoming a candidate. We need to promote the democratic process and allow our public the right of choice.
