She was born in Warsaw and was the daughter of the late Leolin and Mary Bodley Moon.
Marita graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1948. She worked 10 years at Lutheran Hospital and eight years at Omni Source, retiring in 1993. She had been a resident of New Haven for 38 years.
Marita loved a good laugh with friends and family, a strong Manhattan and the company of her feline friends.
She is survived by her children: Greg (Donna) Lobdell, Bloomington; Dan Lobdell, Fort Wayne; Julie (Michael) Lobdell, Longmont, Colo; and Holly Lobdell Green, Fishers; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 30, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne, with calling from 11 a.m. until the service.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
