She was born April 2, 1957, in Peru, to Edmond John and Barbara S. Oberlin Lucas.
She grew up in Peru, graduated in 1975 from Peru High School and moved to the Syracuse area in 1983 from Peru. She formerly operated her own cleaning service in Syracuse, was a child care provider in Syracuse, and was the caretaker for the Enchanted Hills swimming pool.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Syracuse, formerly attended New Life Christian Church & World Outreach in Warsaw, and assisted with the Wawasee High School marching band and Wawasee High School swim team for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Hanger, Wabash, and Stephannie (Jerad) Brickey, Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; two sisters, Dana Wouster, New Mexico, and Keely (Tim) Fultz, Cromwell; and a brother, John Lucas, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Lucas and Barbara Gagen; and a brother, Michael Joseph Wouster II.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.
Cremation will follow at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.
Burial will take place in Milford Cemetery at a later date.
