He was born July 31, 1926, in Syracuse, to Roy and Ruth Stout Meek. On Nov. 15, 1958, he married Louise Morehouse at New Salem Church of the Brethren, Milford.
She survives along with two daughters, Lorraine (Kevin) Roth and Sharon (Loren) Vannest; and two granddaughters, Amy and Jenna Roth.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two younger brothers, Gareth and Philip W. Meek.
Edwin was a 1944 graduate of Syracuse High School and worked for Weybright Seedcorn Co., Migro Seedcorn Co. and Jiminick Farms before retiring in 1988.
He was a member of New Salem Church of the Brethren, Milford, where he served as a lifetime deacon, Sunday school teacher and on various committees.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Sunday, July 22, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The Rev. Timothy T. Yoder will officiate.
Burial will be at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
