Texas Roadhouse Construction Begins

A crew from Phend and Brown of Milford began initial construction steps this morning for the Texas Roadhouse to be build in the shopping center at the corner of North Detroit Street and CR 300N on Warsaw’s north side. The site is across a parking lot from PetSmart, 600 W. CR 300N.

Permits for the construction were issued yesterday.



GOP Seeks Replacement For Gargett

SYRACUSE – The Republican Party of Kosciusko County is looking for a replacement after a Turkey Creek Township Advisory Board members resigned.

Sylvia Gargett, Syracuse, recently resigned from the board, citing personal reasons, according to a news release from GOP county chair Mike Ragan.

Gargett also requested that her name be removed from the November ballot for re-election.                                                                       

Ragan said a caucus will convene at 6 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Syracuse Town Hall, 310 N. St., Syracuse, to select a replacement.

Caucus members will include Republican Precinct Committeemen who reside in Turkey Creek Township and have served continuously for the past 30 days.

The selection will be made by secret ballot.

Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 North Lake Street, Warsaw, and must be filed with the chairman no later than 72 hours before the caucus.

Candidates will be given up to  three minutes to address the voting caucus prior to the vote.

Candidate forms should be mailed to Ragan at 1458 East 75N, Warsaw, IN  46582. He can be reached at 574-265-1430.
