• 11:08 a.m. Saturday - West CR 1050N, 2,000 feet west of North CR 725W, Nappanee. SUV went off road and hit irrigation ditch. Driver: Lamar J. Slabaugh, 18, West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Injury: Slabaugh had a severe injury to his right leg and potential internal injuries; he was flown by Samaritan Air Ambulance to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

• 2:17 p.m. Saturday - East Kilmer Drive, 33 feet east of North Old 15, Milford. Pickup pulled into the path of a northbound Norfolk Southern train. Driver: Kevin P. Geisel, 59, Mishawaka. Injury: Geisel was pinned in the truck and had to be extricated; he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office. Damage: $50,000-$100,000. KCSD.

• 3:50 p.m. Sunday - South Ind. 25, 40 feet north of West CR 200S Warsaw. Motorcycle-car collision. Drivers: Ryan K. McLaughlin, 37, Wooster Road, Winona Lake; Phillip W. Burman, 27, North West Street, Warsaw. Injury: McLaughlin was not conscious at the scene and was flown by Lutheran Air Ambulance to a hospital; he had internal head injuries. Damage: $10,000-$25,000.
