The Lady Warriors (12-10 3-4 NLC) scored double digits in three of the four quarters. Wawasee came out of the gate and led 12-7 after the first eight minutes and never looked back.
Closing the first half with a 27- 21 lead, junior Casey Schroeder tallied 10 of her 16 points in the half.
Wawasee was outscored in the second half 20-18, but was able to hold on for the victory.
Schroeder ended the regular season finale with 16 points, five assists and two steals. Senior Kabrea Rostochak added nine points in her last game.
The Lady Warriors travel to Fairfield on Feb. 2 to play the winner of Tippecanoe Valley and Lakeland in the sectional semifinals.

FORT WAYNE – The Lakeland Christian Lady Cougars traveled to Fort Wayne to take on Blackhawk Christian (2-20), winning 37-33 Thursday night.
LCA climbed to a 12-7 lead after one period. The team was able to manage the lead and not look back.
The Lady Cougars depended on their defense to hault the hosts. They were relentless on defense, blocking seven shots and tallying six steals. Anna Reimink had five steals and four blocks.
Hope Fancil accounted for 22 points and eight rebounds in the winning effort. Tori Calizo had six points and 11 rebounds.
LCA (13-8) finishes the regular season Saturday at home, hosting Clinton Christian at 3 p.m.

Warsaw, Wawasee Swimmers Compete In NLC Preliminaries
DUNLAP – The Northern Lakes Conference held the preliminary rounds of the boys swimming championship on Thursday. A swimmer must finish in the top eight at the preliminaries in order to qualify for the finals.
The Warsaw Tigers had Evan Borchers qualify in the 200 free event. Grant Knight will move on to the next round in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.
Alex Cook took home second in the 50 free for the Tigers. Teammate Zach Lalonde will advance as well in the event, and both advance in the 100 free. Lalonde will participate in the 100 backstroke event.
Both Borchers and Ian Deming tallied top-eight finishes in the 100 butterfly. Nick Bazzoni will have a lane in the 100 breaststroke at the next meet.
The 200 and 400-yard free relay for Warsaw will have a spot in the next round after their performance on Thursday.
For the Wawasee Warriors, Brett Willaman qualified in the 100 and 200 freestyle race. Brady Robinson finished third in the 200 individual medley and Isaiah Metcalf ended seventh, advancing to the next round. Robinson and Spencer Naugler will move on in the 100 backstroke.
Jared Krugmann and Jake Cowan will move on in the 500 free.
The 200 and 400 free relay will compete in the next round for the Tigers.
The NLC boys will finish the Championships on Saturday at Concord
Valley Defeats Pioneer In Swimming
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley’s boys and girls swim teams competed at home against Pioneer. The boys won 95-84 and the girls won 91-82 Thursday night.
Chase Brower was a double winner for the Vikings, finishing first in the 100 and 200 freestyle races. Daniel Alexander also won two events for the host school.
Travis Shull finished first in diving and Dakota Prater won the 200 individual medley.
The 200 medley and free relays were winners for Valley.
For the girls, Mayde Fear won two events and was part of two winning relay teams.
Olivia Livengood won the 100 butterfly and 500 free events for the Lady Vikings.
Shelby Baker contributed two second-place performances for Valley.
The girls begin sectionals on Thursday and the boys compete next on Feb. 5, which is at home against Knox.

Wawasee Gymnasts Capture Win At Lakeland
LAGRANGE – The Wawasee Lady Warriors gymnastics team competed at Lakeland Thursday night, winning 104.9- 92.275.
Reagan Atwood was the all-around winner, landing first in the beam and floor exercise events. Jada Parzygnot had first-place finishes in the vault and bars, coming second in the all-around.
Atwood finished second in the vault and third in the bars. Alyssa Minnix earned second in the bars for Wawasee.
Wawasee will compete Monday at home against East Noble.
