Following lunch, Vice Regent Paulene Holderman led the opening rituals, then introduced speaker Jay Michael, executive director of the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts. The Wagon Wheel Playhouse has been in existence since 1956, when plays were presented in a tent. The current building opened in 1962, and air conditioning was added in the 1970s. It also partners with Warsaw Community Schools by using the Performing Arts Center at the high school.
