Trojan Wrestlers Beat Northfield
BOURBON – Triton’s wrestlers won their last home meet of the season, taking a 40-30 non-conference victory over Northfield Wednesday at Triton Elementary School.
Winners for the Trojans were D’Angelo Shumpert (113 pounds), Connor Pitney (120), Nate Riggins (126), Bryce Coppes (132), Anthony Stevens (170), James Snyder (182), Ethan Berry (195) and Sheldon Rolston (220).
Triton will compete in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference Tournament Saturday at Culver Community High School.
Concord Wrestlers Down Warsaw
Six Warsaw wrestlers won in the final regular-season match Wednesday, and Concord won the Northern Lakes Conference team competition 46-27 at the Tiger Den.
Chris McAfoose (126 pounds), Brock Hogenson (132), Jose Grimmett (145), Grayson Drudge (182), Brock Hueber (195) and Dillon Estepp (285) were winners for the Tigers.
Warsaw will travel to Nappanee to compete in the NLC Tournament Saturday at NorthWood.
