The story lists Kathryn Teel and Charlene Knispel as the only female council members to serve prior to our current trio of Mitchell, Joni Truex and Kim Cates.
But that list omits Kosciusko County's original female council member, Ruth McLeary, who was first elected in 1966.
I've noticed her name missing from past lists as well and, just for history's sake, wanted to correct the record.
