Truth About Slavery Ignored

Christopher Hitchens wrote a book “God Is Not Great.” He spoke about how religion poisons everything. I believe political correctness (PC) as pushed by social justice warriors (SJW) is rushing for first place.
The national anthem and flag protests carried out by the NFL players express liberal hypocrisy, double standards and inconsistency. While these athletes disrespect the American flag for slavery and extermination of indigenous people, they still honor the flags of Britain and Mexico (NFL players in London kneel for U.S. national anthem but stand for the British one, miamiherald.com Sept 24, 2017; Trump attacks NFL player Marshawn Lynch for standing during Mexican National Anthem, the independent.uk, Nov. 20 2017). Why? Don't these NFL players know Britain and Mexico have long histories of enslaving and exterminating indigenous people that predate the USA by centuries? Must have played too much college football without their helmets and got that history knocked out of their heads.
Liberals seem to think slavery was something whites invented to use on blacks and nonwhites. Actually, black Africans captured and sold blacks to Spanish slave traders after native Americans proved to make poor slaves and Europeans found kidnapping raids too dangerous (the slave trade, the constitutional rights foundation, cfr-usa.org). Why aren't modern African nations condemned for their part in the slave trade along with Spain and Portugal? Liberals like to condemn slavery as "America's Original Sin," but just where did the mass majority of the slaves get shipped? Only about 4.5 to 6 percent reached the USA (“Legends, Lies and Cherished Myths of American History” by Richard Shenkman). Most were worked to death in the Caribbean, Central and South America. And let's not forget how Islam, “the black man's religion,” played a major role in the African slave trade and even the Atlantic trade to the Americas (Samuel Green, Islam and Slavery myislam.dk). Why isn't Islam getting slammed for participating in the slave trade?
Yes, America had slavery, but we also had something else the rest of the world didn't have: an abolition movement. If the NFL wants to give the knee to the flag, I'll give my back to their games. And I'll do the same to the MLB and the NBA if they disrespect my flag and country too.
