Barbara J. Mikesell, 72, Warsaw, passed away at 11:58 p.m. Jan. 2, 2018, in Hospice Home of Fort Wayne.

She was born July 8, 1945, in South Bend, to Henry and Betty Holley Mikesell.

She enjoyed Cowboy Church and karaoke at the VFW, was involved in Special Olympics, spent time at Magical Meadows and volunteered for Combined Community Services.

She is survived by her brother, James (Ruth) Mikesell, Jacksonville, Fla.; sister-in-law, Irene Mikesell, South Bend; and longtime friend James Nuell. She is also survived by her cousins: Orion and Jean DeRuiter, Argos; and Robert Ewing, Rochester; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents and a brother, David Mikesell.

A funeral service was planned for noon today, Jan. 8, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Pastor Carl Adams officiating.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. to noon today in the funeral chapel in Warsaw.

Interment will be private.
