At the open house, interactive hands-on exhibits will be showcased with animal projects including rabbits, goats and dogs. Get a chance to explore non-animal projects, too, with hands-on crafts and Lego activities. Learn more about 4-H engineering project opportunities with the robotics club and explore special 4-H projects that could help youth develop a career as a chef or firefighter.
The 4-H Shooting Sports Immersion Trailer, where one can actually shoot targets, will be set up.
Nine-year 4-H member Valerie Messmore said, “4-H has had a great impact on my life. I am grateful to be able to give back to the community and promote this powerful youth organization.”
“While participating in 4-H, I’ve made new friends, created connections within the community, and learned new skills that I will use for the rest of my life,”said Sarah Tucker, another nine-year member.
Hannah Jansma, another nine-year member, said, “4-H has taught me many life skills such as responsibility and has shown me the impact the organization as a whole can have on youth from such a young age.”
Messmore, Tucker, Jansma and other leaders and mentors will be available to answer questions at the open house.
