County Jail Bookings

The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 11:27 a.m. Tuesday – Whitney Ann Olivarez, 24, Plymouth, arrested for theft. No bond set.

• 1:31 p.m. Tuesday – James Andrew Bumbaugh, 25, of 404 S. First St., Pierceton, arrested for possession of a syringe for a legend drug and possession of a narcotic. Bond: $5,250.

• 3:05 p.m. Tuesday – Michael Anthony Vanlue, 34, Mishawaka, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $750.

• 3:56 p.m. Tuesday – Brandon Markel Zumbrun, 36, Kimmell, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $464.50.

• 4:30 p.m. Tuesday – Benjamin Allen Shambarger, 41, of 1613 Ewing Road, Rochester, arrested for probation violation. Bond: $2,250.

• 12:41 a.m. today – Jerrod M. Canfield, 37, Elkhart, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content between .08 and .15. Bond: $700.



Personal Injury Accident

• 6:56 p.m. Tuesday – North CR 1000E, 200 feet north of East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Rider lost control of his mo-ped and laid it down. Driver: Daniel L. Haab, 50, North Camelot Lane, Cromwell. Injury: Haab had bleeding to the head. Damage: $750-$1,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.



Property Damage Accidents

• 6:58 a.m. Tuesday – East CR 200N, 100 feet north of East CR 100N, Warsaw. SUV hit deer. Driver: Rachel N. Bowers, 44, North CR 400E, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 11:10 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of Husky Trail and Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Car-SUV collision. Drivers: Linda A. Torpy, 73, South CR 400E, Claypool; Connie L. Eaton, 68, Deerfield Path, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 3:16 p.m. Tuesday – U.S. 30, 250 feet east of North CR 150W, Warsaw. Two-SUV collision. Drivers: Alfredo Dirico, 80, West Lake Street, Warsaw; Ruben Saucedo, 31, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. WPD.

• 8:38 p.m. Tuesday – 326 Rattington Circle, Warsaw. Pickup hit unoccupied parked car registered to Leah N. Coble, Rattington Circle, Warsaw. Driver: Benjamin I. Coble, 42, North CR 475E, Leesburg. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. WPD.

• 12:26 a.m. Monday – A person was arrested on a warrant and for false informing in the 5200 block of East U.S. 30, Pierceton. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.

• 12:22 p.m. Monday – A theft of groceries was reported in the 2200 block of East Center Street, Warsaw. Value: $405.93. WPD.

• 7:58 p.m. Monday – A person threatening suicide was reported in the 1500 block of Provident Drive, Warsaw. WPD.

• 10:08 p.m. Tuesday – A person reported criminal mischief and stalking with a deadly weapon in the 900 block of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. WPD
