Strombecks Married For 70 Years

Tony and Pat Strombeck, North Webster, will celebrate 70 years together on Friday.

Tony Strombeck and the former Pat Berger were married March 2, 1948, in Hollywood, Calif. Pat won a contest and they were married on the “Bride and Groom” radio program.

Tony worked as a milkman, fireman and town marshal for many years. Pat worked in retail.

They both were radio celebrities and starred in a local movie in the 1940s.

The Strombecks have four children: twins Dave and Doug, Lisa, and Sheila. They have eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
