David Meier, chief operating officer at Penguin Point Franchise Systems, has announced the winners of the 29th Annual People Pleaser of the Year.  This award is given to the one person in each restaurant in appreciation for consistent dedication to people pleasing, for both customers and associates.

Each associate votes for the person in their restaurant whose attitude, dependability, initiative, quality of work, cooperation and customer relation skills best reflect the Penguin Point People Pleaser profile. The award includes a cash bonus, a plaque with their photo posted in the lobby and an honorary pin.

The People Pleaser of the Year from the Center Street location in Warsaw is Kim Hoover. She has been with the company for a year and a half. Manager Brett Devenney said “Kim is a very hard worker. She has a great work ethic and is very goal oriented. We are very proud of her and lucky to have her”.

In her free time Hoover likes welding and playing rugby. Her future plan is to be an underwater welder and a marine biologist.

The Detroit Street winner  is Robert S. Hutchinson. He has been with the company for 14 months.

“We love having him be a part of our team. He has grown into an important member of our team,” said manager Rochelle Devenney “Robert is a star employee.”

Hutchinson likes to listen to music in his free time along with singing some karaoke. His future plan is to return working full-time.

The Lake Street winner is Casi Cutler. She has been at Penguin Point for 23-1/2 years.

Cutler has one brother who lives in Michigan, with a niece and nephew, plus a great niece and nephew. She is wanting to stay with Penguin Point until she retires. Her interests are watching movies, spending time with family and helping out at her church. She also enjoys rescuing pets.

“Casi has been a dedicated employee to me and the company since I was transferred here 19 years ago, we have been through a lot together,” said store manager Dee McKenzie.

The Syracuse winner is Alissa Mickles. She has been with the company only since May of last year but manager Kelly Butler said “Alissa is such a great young lady, she works very hard at pleasing others. I look forward to watching her grow and help others.”

Along with her mom, dad, and step-dad, Mickles has four sisters and two brothers. Her interests include going shopping, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.

Her future plans are to be either a teacher or a lawyer.
